Has anyone ever tried hennaing their eyebrows? If so, what : length of time should the henna stay on? (And how would the : underlying skin re-act - it would definitely turn orange...) I apply henna to my eyebrows about an hour before I plan to rinse off the henna on my head hair. I rinse them off when I rinse off all the henna, and then I apply indigo for about half an hour (to the eyebrows and the lighter bits of my hair). the henna does stain the skin under the eyebrows an unflattering orange, but it goes away quickly (within a day). I have found that when I do the indigo afterwards, I don't get the orange so much. not sure why exactly. the main problem I used to have with hennaing eyebrows is that when the henna dries, grains of henna fall off, and they give me eye infections when they get into my eye. I haven't had any problems with that since I started adding dextrose to the henna (see link below) and covering the henna on the eyebrows with bits of plastic foil. : (Also, am I correct in the interpretation that some folks have : hennaed their "nether regions"? How can that work?!!) same way it works everywhere, of course ;-). I don't have a LOT of experience with it, but it works just fine. You just slather it on (don't use essential oils/cloves, and/or make sure you do precise application to only the hair - essential oils can be irritating to the sensitive skin there). Cover with plastic foil. Put underwear over henna and plastic foil. You don't want to move around too much obviously, but walking to the kitchen to get a cup of tea is entirely possible. HTH, iris
