Different people have different hair textures, and the structure of
some people's hair seems to grab the indigo harder. Or .... some
indigos may be better than others. Gwyn's never went back to henna
color, but the blue/black cast settled down after a month to simply
being black.
Adding warmth to your hair while the indigo is on it, or using better
indigo should help.
