Bixa is aploppas (one of the funnier-sounding plant names), achiote, and annatto (and all of its variant spellings a[r|n]n[a|o]tt[o|a]). Lipstick tree is the same thing. It's a common food coloring additive. It's the only genus in Bixaceae, according to Delta, but a couple of other families I've never heard of have been removed from it.
