You get what you pay forPosted by Catherine Cartwright-Jones on January 22, 2005 at 19:29:42: In reply to: Body art quality henna versus Hair henna posted by Keridwen on January 22, 2005 at 18:56:56: : And what exactly is the difference between red body art henna and: red hair henna bought bulk in the food coop? The difference is ....... quality. Body art quality has higher dye content than hair quality henna. (Its harvested at the peak of the season, in prime growing areas, processed and packaged carefully to preserve freshness) Body art quality henna doesn't have sand and crud in it. (Its more carefully sifted. The price goes up as the junk is sifted out) You'll get better color. (because it has higher dye content) You'll be able to rinse it out of your hair more easily. (no junk that sticks in your hair) The henna will go down the drain more easily after you're done. (plumbers will cost you way more than you save on cheap henna)
