Has anyone else experimented with yeasting henna?

I added yeast and sugar to my last henna batch. I tried this afterone time adding some fermenting pomegranate juice (not enough room in
my refrigerator) and noticing that the yeast action seemed to speed
up and intensify the dye release. Adding yeast and sugar this last
time contributed, I think, to some very good results. I'm going to
experiment further with this, but wanted to check to see if any of
you have actually done this, too. Looking for experiences, not
theories.... Thanks!
