Hi. I hennaed my hair today with light natural mountain brown. It
turned out great. I am wondering the same thing about the
contents. The whole purpose of using henna is to avoid the
chemicals. I also got my henna from the whole foods store. I added
cloves, decaffinated coffee and a tad of lavender. For the first
step I just hennaed the roots not all over as recommended. This is
about the fourth time I have used it. The last time I managed to
get very red roots not so this time. Good luck!
