Each time I washed my hair after a dye job, it used to fall out in... aaaarghhh I can't even use the word. Using coconut oil perhaps helped me through. But when I switched back to using henna ( thanks to this site that gave me ways to achieve the colour I wanted),not only did my hair get back its former texture, but also no more hair loss, except the usual little which is perfectly natural. Using coconut hair oil twice weekly has helped me too.As I had mentioned earlier gently massaging the shampoo in for a minute and then washing it off with hot water that is not scalding helps take out much of the oil. Hope this helps. Nash
