Storing Henna Powder once opened

Hello,

I know this has been mentioned before but can't seem to find it again
anywhere! I promise I looked hard before posting.

I buy henna off this site but due to my fine hair I only have to use
50g at a time, so I always get half left over. I was just storing it
with the pack sellotaped up with the air expelled, but my last one
didn't seem to work as well as when it was first fresh (after being
stored like that for a month).

While I was searching I saw that it can be stored in the freezer, but
I got the impression that this meant once it was already mixed up.
What about dry henna powder, is this also stored in the freezer? And
if so does it need an airtight plastic container or can i just wrap it
up in several air-expelled sellotaped-up bags?

Sorry for bothering you all with this, I know it is here somewhere,
and you have probably answered it a million times before, but I have
looked hard I promise!
