so have you ever heard of any henna or indigo connection to P450
liver enzyme? this is the marker that relates to porphyrin release
into the blood stream from the liver. information from the
hematologist said that every known artificial chemical hair dye (with
the exception of a very low percentage of some blonde dyes) all
trigger this enzyme and his anecdotal estimate is that out of all his
patients he sees for whatever reason-80% have experienced a porphyrin-
related crisis at some point in their lives(over 3700 common
household chemicals also trigger this). Anyone who has ever had chemo
of any kind needs to stay away from as many triggers as possible. He
said the liver cancer that Jackie O died of has been blamed on her
use of dark pigmented hair dye. He said 10 yrs. of usage puts you 50
times at more risk of liver cancer than the average population--and
he was talking about POST-PPD dyes(since 1980).
pardon my french--but that is some scary $hit!
