Freezing Henna Multiple Times?Posted by krazee on February 5, 2005 at 19:25:29: Hello all! I have a question. I've finally taken the plunge...andjust hennaed my roots! lol I've been hennaing my whole head to cover new growing roots, so as to condition my whole head. I suspect that is why the red color is darkening so much too! So, my friend just did the roots this time (and is now wearing green goose cassia poop of her own for the first time, GL to her [and to me, if it goes badly you'll never hear from me again and look in island places for my body if you please!! lol]) My question is this: I thawed leftover henna paste to do this and now obviously have a bunch left over. Can I keep refreezing the henna over and over without a problem? The paste has already released the dye so I'm not worried about that. It didn't stay thawed too long (thaw, use within 4 hours of total thaw). And is immediately refrozen. It'll all be gone probably the next time I do it. I don't think it was thawed long enough for the dye to be degrading or whatever it does when it's left out too long, and I kept plastic wrap over it so it shouldn't have oxidized too much either. I think it will be fine...it certainly dyed my arm! And I'll be checking it to dye my arm next time too. I just wanted to check out the refreezing question while I was sitting here marinating. Thanks! krazee
