: I use a mix of indigo and henna, about 50/50 ... I mix the henna
with lemon juice the
: night before and the indigo with HOT water just before applying.
When both are
: showing dye release I mix them together and apply them to my hair
in one-step.
:
: When I first did this I got a dark cherry, it was almost a dark ash
brown with red
: undertones in indoor lighting, but still a cool deep red outdoors
in the sun. Over the
: last 2 months it has mellowed somewhat to what I think of as
a "cool auburn" ... it is
: not a brassy orangy red at all, but looks good with my cool skin
tones.
:
: I'll post the picture of my "after" color, too ...
:
: I know other people have gotten cooler burgundy type tones using
amla, but I have
: not tried that at this time.

OOps sorry about that, I posted a blank. I love the color of your
hair, and wondered if the indigo will fade out eventually. I am
thinking of doing the 50/50 over hennaed hair that was hennaed over
bleached hair. It has now settled to a nice medium red, but I
wondered if using the indigo with the henna would be ok over bleach
also if I decide I don't want to be so dark, does it eventually fade
out? Thank you, Valerie
