I leave my henna on for around 5 or 6 hours.. I get a lovely deep red colour and it's a great excuse for a lazy day! ;op : :I`ve been hennaing my hair for about 6 months and having been in : love with henna on my body for 8 years I cant believe I waited so : long to put it on my hair! Anyway I did all the reading and looked at : all the recipes but in the end I just sort of played around with what : worked for me. I do a thinner mix as opposed to paste. All my : leftovers from my j bottles and cones get emptied into a container in : my freezer and I mix it in when I mix a batch for my hair. I make up : some chamomile tea, about 2 cups, and maybe a 1/4 cup lemon juice. If : doing my whole head I pour my mix into a big mixing bowl, place it in : the tub bend over and dip my hair into it as well as possible without : getting my forehead dunked and work it around til my scalp and hair : is covered. Wrap myhead in an old towel and hang out awhile. Ive : never left it on for more than 45 minutes and I always get great : color. The other day my roots needed refreshed so I watered down some : leftover paste filled a couple jbottles and worked it through the : natural part in my hair and anywhere else I could see growth. Worked : really well.
