Golden Brown
1/4 c coconut oil
1/4 c almond oil
1/4 c sherry
1/2 c corn syrup
1 c cider vinegar
30 drops tea tree eo
20 drops rosemary eo
20 drops lavender eo
2 cups very strong French Roast 100% Arabica coffee*
* brew 6 TABLESPOONS coffee in 2 1/2 cups(measuring cup not coffee-
pot cup)distilled water with 1 tsp. sea salt added--in a coffee maker
set to 'strong'. boil coffee in a pot for 2 minutes after it is
brewed. add more distilled water to make 2 cups if needed.
1 c quick-oats
1/4 c ground allspice
1/4 c ground clove
1 c body-grade henna (use measuring cup measurement not 'net weight')
1 c boiled distilled water
1 c high-quality pure indigo (use measuring cup measurement not 'net
weight')
mix all liquids and add the oats in a large glass bowl. microwave for
2 1/2 minutes on high. stir and let cool for about 3 minutes. add the
allspice, cloves and henna. mix thoroughly and continue mixing for
about 3 minutes. loosley cover bowl and let stand over night.
one hour before using, mix the indigo with the boiled distilled water
in a smaller bowl (let water stand 3 minutes before adding the
indigo) and let indigo paste stand 30 minutes uncovered. then add
indigo and henna mixes together and blend thoroughly.
Leave on hair for 4-8 hours.

I did this for 2 years and eventually it got to nearly black. But the
initial time I did it and for about 6 months(every 4 weeks)it was a
nice golden brown. I could have kept it golden brown if I just used
it to touch up the roots and did a cassia mix every other month I
think, but I wanted it to be black. So I started doing straight henna
every other month.
