I know exactly of what you speak! I touch up my roots every two weeks
with henna to prevent that "wide part" look. I do not henna all my
hair so it will stay relatively light.

I plan to experiment with Turmeric to get a golden color though.
Before I went to henna, I was using a strawberry blond dye that
complemented my 44 year old face nicely. I like the firey look (so
does my SO which counts for a lot :) but I'd love to get back to
strawberry.
