My hair (at 35) is already substantially gray (silver and dark brown) and somewhat thin. So
I have the roots making me look bald thing going on. I plan to stop hennaing. I have
LOVED henna and have had great gray coverage with my henna & indigo mix and been
very happy. but I don't mind going gray and would rather do it now, when i have a better
shot at doing it gracefully, than having to stop suddenly when I'm already silver haired,
LOL.

As far as how it looks, I think it depends on the face and personality :) I have seen old
women who look weird with dark hair, and some that look lovely.

I think it's a very personal issue and there's no one right answer.

: What do you intend to do when you decide to be silver?

: Would you still use henna if your white roots showed and made you
: look bald on your part after just 2 weeks?

: Do you think that the bright reds and dark browns and blacks can be
: severe next to an aging face?
