MM. I know what you mean about the thinning hair thing. I'm blessed with very curly hair. The body of my big hair makes it look thicker, but I flattened it a couple of months ago, with the ceramic flattening iron...great job, but WOW I've lost hair. The 1" ponytail..<weep> <:o) I remember as a child the hairdresser said, "You have fine hair, just lots of it". Well, the lots of it part went out the window when I had my daughters. Worth the trade-off. I have an aunt who has fine hair that looks like a haze on her scalp...thin all over. I would hate to have to cut my hair later on in life, but could happen. Right now it's just past my shoulders, but I have PLANS for it! :o) The henna is making it thicker, my scalp condition is awesome...we'll see. At least we have determined it's red. :o) Where IS that coffee of mine.... : if I went totally white I would be tempted to stop dyeing. and two- : tone hair would not bother me all that much--I had black length and : cherry/burgundy roots for about 6 inches, ON PURPOSE, for about 10 : yrs. there is a small bad web-cam pic of me on my yahoo profile(s)-- : check out LadyLvsNyt or if you are not easily offended(rater R+) : LadyHeresy in the Yahoo profiles and you will find me. (You can also : find a profile for me on Witches' Voice- www.witchvox.com -that : actually tells ABOUT ME and not just an RPG character like on Yahoo.) : But I will not go salt-n-pepper or partly gray because it makes me : look like my mother! My mom was not a bad looking woman--but I am NOT : ready to look like her yet! : I started getting gray hairs at 17 and at 42 now I am well over half : gray-- probably 85%, but it is not evenly distributed. Mom had these : cool white streaks, not me! : My biggest concern is not the color now but the texture. My hair is : nearly unrecognizable from when I was young! It has greatly damaged : my self-esteem. Thin, fine, silky, limp. It is waist length now and I : can braid it into one thin braid, when iw as 20 I could not get all : my hair into 3 or 4 braids as thick as my wrist! Henna does thicken : my hair and for that I am grateful enough to keep using it. : Ravyn, Lady Heresy
