Yeah, I know, but I'm NOT fond of broccoli. Got sick once after
eating it, and now, I cannot eat it often enough to make any
difference at all!! Cabbage I can eat occasionally, but, to eat
enough of it, often enough to make a difference in the calcium isn't
very practical. Milk products don't bother me, and I try to get
organic when I can afford them. We've even thought about getting our
own milk goat, but I don't know that I could EVER get to like goats
milk!! And unfortunately, we don't have the room for milk cow! LOL!!
So I guess I will continue to drink milk and eat cheese and hope that
organic products someday become more reasonable to purchase. I also
can always take supplements, but I would prefer to comsume them in my
diet. Magnesium, potassium and LGlutamine are all also good for
osteoarthritis AND vitamin C. All but the LGlutamine are fairly easy
to get in diet form, though I may start taking supplements anyway,
just to make sure I'm getting enough, I'm tired of the pain and tired
ot taking drugs to control the pain!!! :P OK, enough whining for
today!!!!

Peace,
Ginny

: : I have read that as well. I do still consume some dairy products, I
: : need the calcium, which is also VERY conducive to weight loss, and
: : good for my arthritis as well.
:
: You can get calcium from broccoli, cabbage, and tofu. Silicon is also
: good for arthritis; it strengthens the connective tissue.
