There are red- blindness, : green-blindness (aka Daltonism), blue-blindness, and two anomalopsias, : in which the red-seeing or green-seeing pigment is mutated, but can : still see. But there is no blue-green colorblindness, unless it's a : combination of blue-blindness (which is rare) and green-blindness. Not 100% sure, but my step-dad is the same way. It's not that they're colourblind to blue and green, it's more that they have a harder time distinguishing different colours of blue and green. A cobalt blue and a denim in the same shade look pretty much alike for Mik (said step-dad), and a olive green and grass green in the same shade also look alike. He also has a hard time with teals and aquas and stuff--he can't seem to process green and blue at the same time. He always will tell you it's one or the other. My mom always teases him that he needs Grrranimals clothing for grown ups, since he can't always match his suits to his ties in a pleasant way for the rest of us. That's probably why she decided to do his shopping for him...hehe.
