Dye Release

I have used henna once (chestnut brown) and next time I plan on using
body quality henna. I see people are talking about allowing time for
the dye to release. I didn't wait for a dye release with the
packaged henna, nor did it say to. What happens if I put the body
quality henna on my hair before the dye releases? Just
conditioning? Thank you.
