Ok, I'm obsessed!!Posted by Tara on March 31, 2004 at 14:14:59: I've gotten a sample. Did a strand test. Actually divided it in halfand tried 2 recipes. Half was with red wine vinegar the other half with balsamic...wondered if it would give a darker shade. Well, my hair is naturally medium to dark brown (more dark I would say but I always throw in the medium because it's not nearly black KWIM?) The results from the red wine vinegar were a noticable reddened shade. The balsamic..well, if you look closely you can almost detect a difference. But then again, maybe I'm just making myself see it ?? LOL Anyhow...here's the deal...I really really would like to henna my hair. My desired result: richened brown w/burgundy ?? How might I get that? I keep searching the web for more info on this. I come across site after site offering henna..herbal/hennas...henna hair dye..what have ya. I don't have a problem w/mixing herbals in w/my henna to achieve the color I want..but I don't know who to trust. Who really has JUST herbs and henna in their product? Is there really such a thing as burgundy henna? chestnut henna? mahogany henna? etc... Then my next deal...what am I gonna have to do..buy a case of henna to try different recipes while continuing to harvest from my hair brush and shower drain?? Eeek! Ok, sorry for rambling, thanks for 'listening' Any input greatly appreciated. Signed... Henna obsessed yet never actually hennaed, Tara ;)
