scalp and roots questionPosted by Barbara on April 10, 2004 at 22:49:32: Hi everyone. Today was my very first henna experience... and I'm pretty sure it was agood one. Actually, at age 35, it was the first time I've ever attempted to color my hair in any way, shape, or form. So I feel a little weird (not necessarily bad, just... "altered"). I have learned tremendously from this site, which is an amazing resource. Two questions: 1) In an attempt to get my roots, my wonderful friend who graciously spent hours with me got some henna on my scalp, which is now reddish in front and on top. It won't be a huge problem, as I don't usually part my hair, but is there a way to avoid this in the future? Any idea how long will this scalp tint last? 2) I have super thick hair with emerging grays underneath in the back (but increasingly and steadfastly making their way to the surface). These hairs were very hard to reach, given the thickness and length of my hair. Any suggestions for getting at those pesky grays underneath? Thanks again for everything. Barbara
