: I have learned tremendously from this site, which is an amazing
resource. Two
: questions: 1) In an attempt to get my roots, my wonderful friend who
graciously
: spent hours with me got some henna on my scalp, which is now
reddish in front and
: on top. It won't be a huge problem, as I don't usually part my hair,
but is there a way
: to avoid this in the future? Any idea how long will this scalp tint last?

It lasts a few days. I make no attempt to keep henna off my scalp,
even though I do part my hair; it's fun to scratch the red stuff.

2) I have super
: thick hair with emerging grays underneath in the back (but
increasingly and
: steadfastly making their way to the surface). These hairs were very
hard to reach,
: given the thickness and length of my hair. Any suggestions for
getting at those
: pesky grays underneath? Thanks again for everything. Barbara

You might want to try gelling the henna with pectin. See Fia in the
mixes section.
