It makes sense to me what you say about the body art quality producing more dye, but that the colour itself is the same. I am just assuming that the lighter coloured hairs will of course take longer to acquire deeper red tones and so orange could be a problem for some time. Do you think that black walnut could neutralise this effect somewhat? I also, don't want to go brown by any means, however with my starting colour and any amount of henna there is little danger of that happening. I would just like to deepen the red towards a more "auburn" tone if its possible. Since I have rather a high percentage of light golden hairs on my head, I'm wondering if black walnut would perhaps target those to produce a somewhat darker effect. That's why even though I am completely sold on the body art quality, I must admit to being curious about the brands I see discussed here which promise different "shades" and wonder if these might actually prove to be useful to me. I really am liking my new colour more each day, however, I can't tell a lie: my natural colour was quite pretty if I say so myself and I am mourning the fact that I probably will never really see it again before I'm completely grey! ( Now that I know about henna I will never let myself go completely grey!) I don't know anybody personally who hennas their hair, so no, I haven't got any frame of reference in terms of the effect of continued usage over years. I am glad to know it does become deeper. Till then, yes, I will continue to henna at times when I don't need to be seen by too many people for a few days! thanks again
