conditioning and henna - no color lossPosted by Jade on April 17, 2004 at 16:28:39: In reply to: I get the feeling that oily substances ‘help’ dislodge some of the dye. posted by Faery Ring on April 17, 2004 at 14:48:48: Hi,When I henna my hair I use conditioner to help get the henna out. After I rinse and rinse and rinse, I still have some henna and grit in my hair so I use a cheap conditioner and work it in my hair and rinse again. SOmetimes I have to use the conditioner twice, if the henna is extra gritty, sometimes not. Anyway, I use conditioner every I wash my hair, every 2-3 days and in between, I use the conditioner as a 'shampoo'. Fia gace me this advice and it works beautifully. I'm growing my hair out and from the henna I have great body, shine and little damage. Big change from the chemical dye. I get more comments on my hair color as well.
