Straight to indigo

with the 2 step process to mask white hairs, first henna then, a
henna/indigo mix, i am curious to know if i skipped right to the
indigo application, what would the results be? of course, i wouldn't
try it on my mom's hair, she'd kill me, but if someone could satisfy
my curiosity.... I imagine drying of the hair, but are there any
other disasters i should know of?
