Well, my naturally brown/auburn hair has just turned a carrot
colored orange and I am in a desperate panick! I used 3
test "swatches" in the exact same mix and got the exact same color
(brown with a little more red than my normal color) ---- but after
tonight's henna, my hair is carrot colored at the temples, and has a
nice orange color to the rest of my hair. (not to mention my scalp).

I know that it will change over the next few days -- and I know that
a sugar scrub with my conditioner will help with the scalp.

My question: why were my test strands different than the
final "outcome"?

If I were to apply the henna again on my brigher orange temples (not
sure why it turned more bright there), would it darken it, or make
it even brighter?

FYI: my mix was body grade henna, red wine, and cloves (1/3 cloves
to 2/3 henna). My hair smells good!
