Big mistake!! It turned a brownish color with a green cast. : After washing it a "million" times, it was still a browninsh color : with a green cast. (must be the indigo --- I have had the exact : same problem with Lush henna in "brown" --- and the green tint : lasted 3 months until I re-henna'd it "orange" the other day). : : So, my husband objected on me having green hair AGAIN, and I re- : henna'd it with the leftover henna from my initial henna (my husband : said he liked the "orange" hair). : : I am thrilled to tell you all that my hair is now a nice shade of : Cinnamon Bark. I absolutely lOVE it!!! It is much darker than my : origional color (about 2-3 shades darker) but the color is fabulous : for my skin tones! I am just wondering what I will have to do to : maintain this color and how to re-dye the lighter roots to match the : darker length. : : Now, I thought I'd wait a week or so and try that highlighting "kit" : that someone previously recommended. : : Thanks everyone for your support! : : Dagny Oh no! You caved! LOL. Is your hair nice and soft after 3 hennas in as many days? I bet you were beginning to feel like you had taken up residence in the shower. I'm so glad to hear that the natural henna corrected the greenish brown. YEAH NATURAL HENNA!!!! Justifies our faith in henna once again. I wonder if the greenish cast IS caused by the indigo or is it some other botanical (like walnut)present in the brownish shades. Just wondered: did you still have an orange cast with the second use of the body art henna? Or was it not orange at all? I'm still betting that if you had left it alone you would have been happy with it in a week...but I'm so glad it all had a happy ending! And the colour sounds beautiful. Congrats.
