My hair is med to dark brown and want to : basically stick close to the same color but a little darker brown. : According to their color chart black henna is the one I shoud : use...does this sound right? : Any help would be greatly appreciated. : The website Im thinking about ordering from is 'Light mountain : hennas' : Thanks I have used Light Mountain Henna. From my experience, it seems to darken my hair 1-2 shades more than the box says. IF you are looking for dark brown/ black hair (with a tint of blue?) then I would definately use the black. If you are not wanting a black shade, then I would use the Chestnut. I have a level 6 brown-red hair, and using the Chestnut turned it a level 4 glossy "cool" toned brown. Unfortunately for me, the lighter shades in my hair (level 7- 8) picked up the Indigo too well and turned it initially green. I am sure this would have washed out with time, and, those strands in my hair are naturally a strawberry-blonde color ---- much lighter than your hair. I will tell you, the Chestnut made my hair extremely shiny and healthy!! The good news, Henna can't lighten hair. If you choose a color that is too light, then it will give your hair a bit of a colored "glow" and conditioning effect. Still a good deal!! Good luck!
