perming hennaed hairPosted by Jaimie on May 5, 2004 at 20:59:49: I am 25 and have hennaed my hair since I was 19. When it was shorterit had a nice natural wavy curl, but as it got longer and heavier it doesn't do that anymore. I love my hair curly but I don't have time to set it every day and I would like to perm it. I have not hennaed my hair since March 16 (about a month and a half) in preparation for the perm, which will happen next week if it appears safe enough to do. I should think 1.5 months is long enough that there is no henna residue that will react with the perm. I also plan to wait at least 2- 3 weeks after the perm to put henna on my roots again. Does this sound safe? Has anyone else out there permed hennaed hair and had good results? Can someone just tell me if this is safe to do given the amount of time I have waited since my last henna job? Catherine, I know you probably know something about this.
