: This site is amazing. After reading through old posts, many of my
: questions have been answered, but I would like to know this---- is
: one hour enough time to leave henna on my hair?
:
: Let me explain. I found a salon that specializes in natural
: products who rinses the henna out for me (I mix and apply it at
home-
: -stays on my dark brown locks overnight). They informed me that
: when they apply the henna in the shop they leave it on for about an
: hour (or less). I am not sure this would be enough time to get the
: results I want/am accostomed to (shiny, strong, slightly reddish,
: looser curled hair). What do you all think? Does the time you
: leave the henna on your hair only affect the color outcome?

Nah, probably not enough time, because the length DOES effect the
outcome. The longer it's on there, the more lawsone can get into the
hair, so the richer the colour can be. I'm hoping/guessing that the
salon uses henna strictly for conditioning purpouses, and not
colour? Because if they're putting it on those women for colour and
only leaving it an hour, they're probably getting...erm...crap
results.
