Does indigo work on light hair?

Hey, those who remember me, I'm back. I still haven't ordered any
henna or indigo to try yet, I think I will but I have one more
question. If I use henna first and then indigo on my dark blonde
hair (or mix the henna and indigo together?), do you think it would
turn it black or at least dark brown? If not, what's the WORST that
could happen? Would the indigo turn it some funky off-the-wall
color? I decided I want a dark brown or black result if I'm going to
do this at all (although I don't mind if it has a reddish tint to
it). What do you guys think? Also, if you DO think this is
possible, please give me tips on what else to add, if I should mix
them together, etc. Thanks.
