It seems very probable that you did not obtain pure henna. Here's a
direct quote from a book I have called Drop Dead Gorgeous: Protecting
Yourself From the Hidden Dangers of Cosmetics..."the Body Shop relies
on outdated formulas filled with non-renewable, less then natual
petrochemicals. ....survey of 2001 cosmetics line included cocamide
DEA, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), benzalkonium chloride, synthetic
colors and an alphabet soup of preservatives.....worse, the company
has a history of selling products contaminated with formaldehyde." I
hope you are okay, I would highly suggest doing a skin patch test
with 100% pure henna, buy from catherine or one of the other sellers
noted on this site.....good luck
