I don't know why vinegar would give you more problems than lemon juice .... lime juice dissolves my skin. Perhaps your lemons are sweet? In any case, if your skin is sensitive to getting pickled .... dilute the sour stuff with water. Try getting some citric acid, and mixing it with water so you can control the sourness, and save money, too!
