Lemon juice v. apple cider vinegar

Hello everyone,

this time of year, our lemon tree is low on lemons, so when i mix
henna, i use apple cider vinegar. the problem is, the vinegar always
seems to hurt my scalp so much. i prefer henna mixed with pure lemon
juice, which does not iirritate me at all. i am confused because i
thought lemon juice was much more acidic than apple cider vinegar.
everyone of my family and friends that henna have the same reaction.
can someone possibly shed light on this? thanks!
