I believe that you should be dying your whole head because the reason
chemical dyes should only be used on the roots is that they weaken
the hair shaft. (I've been dying my dark hair 'light red violet'
<okay, it's pink lol> with permanent chemicals for the past 3 years)
Henna should be no problem at all as it doesn't weaken your hair.
