Yes, you can freeze henna and still get a good stain when it thaws.I do that all the time with body art henna.
I actually leave my henna in the fridge...it seems to still work on
my hair even after several weeks. Probably b/c my hair is more
porous than my skin so stuff that doesn't stain skin will still stain
my hair.
I've noticed that my henna color looks "tired" after 8 weeks. My
roots grow out faster than that, though, so I try to henna every 6 or
so weeks -- my hair grows faster in the summer, so more root showing
faster...hard to keep up with!!!
