Cassia w/ henna for less orange, more subtle color?

Despite all the photos of gorgeous hair on this site, I don't have the guts (or the skin
tone) to be a redhead. I have mousy light brown hair and would like to have reddish-
brown hair, but I fear the dreaded ORANGE, which has happened to me before. I am
wondering if cassia mixed with henna would result in less color, since there would be
less henna on the head - the henna would be diluted with the cassia. I believe this is
how the henna mix companies get their shades such as Strawberry Blonde, Light Red,
etc. Any thoughts on this?
