I have mousy light brown hair and would like to have reddish- : brown hair, but I fear the dreaded ORANGE, which has happened to me before. I am : wondering if cassia mixed with henna would result in less color, since there would be : less henna on the head - the henna would be diluted with the cassia. I believe this is : how the henna mix companies get their shades such as Strawberry Blonde, Light Red, : etc. Any thoughts on this? What you suggest, mixing cassia with the henna should make it lighter--at least that's what I wish I'd done when I did it myself last week. I had had Rainbow light brown put on my hair in May and the color was nice--it made a kind of reddish light brown (I'd darkened to a kind of dishwater brown where it hadn't turned gray), but in front where I have so much gray, it was a little too orange. the color was lighter but a lighter orange--If you don't have gray, and you didn't mention any, I don't think you should have a problem. If however, you find it too bright, you can always treat with indigo and cassia as I just did and get a much cooler color. Debra on this forum reported similar results. also, I was referrred to the mix made by Kim A on the mixes page. She got a really nice cool reddish brown. Good luck!
