: I know it's probably not ideal, but you can always have a salon strip
: your hair of color (the chemically dyed portion) with a bleach
: mixture and then once you've taken a week or two with lots and lots
: of deep conditioning treatments, then begin your henna coverage.
: although, I would suspect that henna over white and bleached hair
: will be quite bright red for awhile, until you are able to build up
: some henna layers. I know the henna on my dyed portions of brown
: hair turned out quite bright compared to my natural roots, which are
: more of a dark auburn. good luck

I've been at my wits end, basically posting and waiting for someone to
say forget it you have to grow it out and wait. (Which would be hard
for me because I guess I'm a brat and don't want to and if one more
person asks me "what happened to your hair?" because of my white white
roots I'll freak out.) OR, for anyone to say what you just said was a
possibility. I'm going to try that. Go to a salon, get just SOME of
this black out and then condition condition condition and go for it.
Thank you for offering me hope. If anyone reading this thinks this is
a terrible idea, please let me know. Thanks all!
