Since you have paritial grey roots and solid black for the rest, youmight consider getting blonde highlights on the stripped black and
then henna over them. The henna red on the highlights will be very
similar to the henna on grey and will blend while it is growing out.
I am not sure how highlights work over dyed hair though. But as long
as you are going for the red head look in the end, it would probably
look good as it grows out. I like how the grey in my hair turns into
red highlights after henna.
WHatever you do don't indigo over the whole thing unless you want to
continue with the black hair. Indigo is pretty permanent.
