Henna over foiled hairPosted by Nell on August 1, 2004 at 09:44:13: I would love to try henna, but I've been foiling my hair for years. It is to my back and also turning grey. I foil because I am a dark blonde (almost light brown) color naturally. It hides the grey fairly well. However, I know it is toxic and that part disturbs me. > >My hair is to the middle of my back and I could experiment with the underside and not be too fearful. What would henna do to my hair color now, do you think? My mother was Irish and very auburn. My father had black hair. My sister and I wound up with this mousy color. I have had orange hair before. I was under the impression red made one look older. I am already 49 this August. I don't really want help looking that way. It seems to be happening easily on its own. What product or color would you recommend? I do love highlights...but not gray or orange ones. > >Thanks for your thoughts! > >Nell > >
