What am I doing wrong?

I just did my fourth henna yesterday, but I STILL cannot seem to get
the dye to take on my grey hairs...$%$@^#*($#! I've been using
Catherine's henna (and I love it!) mixed with lemon juice and some
drops of lavender EO. It sits out overnight for the dye release,
then I add a bit more hot lemon juice into which I've dissolved the
pectin -- like Fia's gel receipe.

I keep it on for 6 - 8 hours and STILL no color on my greys! It also
doesn't seem to dye my skin very much where it hits my hairline,
either. What am I doing wrong?
