I could never find out anything about it until I found you : all! :D : : To answer Diane, I am indeed from the UK. I'd like to say I'm a : red head but the truth is that I'm not. It's frustrating to catagorize : as it is neither red, or brown, just darkish ginger (which is : in-between). Unfortunatly I have never seen anybody with the : same shade as mine (I'm not kidding!) so finding info is difficult! : : Well with the 50/50 henna/indigo mix would the red tones look : either obvious or fake, or would it look real and unobvious? Hi again, Alicia, Your colour sounds beautiful! Its amazing when you look at a lot of natural redheads the spectrum of different shades. I have never seen my natural colour on anyone else either. Do you have warm colouring (brown or hazel eyes, peachy skin) or like me, pale pale white skin, pale grey eyes? I think henna really suits warmer types perfectly. I can't speak about the henna& indigo results (have you looked at the mixes page and Kim A.'s mix?) but I can say that the red tones you get with henna are quite obvious, mostly due to the translucent nature of the colour and intense shine. Its most obvious in the sun, and to me thats when it looks most unnatural. As a genuine redhead, it took me most of my life to get to like having red hair, and then it becomes almost a political thing, LOL. I used to be so resentful of "fake" redheads ( and going red is supposedly more popular nowadays then going blonde, so there are a lot of unnatural redheads out there) and when I first started using henna, I felt like I was "cheating". I am one of those really natural and low maintenance types and I couldn't believe I was now a dyed redhead! But of course my colouring works with it, and having been red all my life no one seems to notice, and if they do I no longer care. The way henna makes my hair feel and behave (shiny, thick and managable) makes me an addict. The colour is also quite pretty, and in my opinion henna gives a far more natural looking red than any of the chemical dye shades I have seen on people.
