You : just hear of so many who sell dodgy stuff :o/ : : My mum actually said that when she did her training (many moons : ago :op ) they didn't learn anything at all about henna.. so all : her teaching has come from me! She thinks it's great that such : things can be done with natural products.. But I've heard so many : people say beauticians are so against henna.. it seems so sad : really :o( : : Anyway.. I hope you'll be able to get photos of your new hair.. I : bet you'll love it!! : : : : : : Thanks for the tip on the henna Dionne. As it turns out, the store : : here sells very pure henna. Two of my friends use and swear by it. : : Their hair looks great, like yours. Not only that they are both : grey, : : one nearly completely and the other at least 50 percent. Those : grey : : hairs give the best highlights :) I almost wish I were grey lol. : : Anyway I am glad your mom who was a beautician approves of the : henna : : that validates it even more. I didnt mean to imply all beauticians : : were anti-henna, just that any time somthing negative was said : about : : henna, it was usually someone in the hair industry. In any case : : Dionne, I am sat here as I type with the henna already in and a : : shower cap on :)) So heres hopin! I intend to leave it on for two : : hours. How long do you usually go for? : : Thanx again. Valerie Hi Dionne, well wow I do love it!!!! its very orangey red where the highlights were but it doesnt show up that much on the web-cam but yes here is an idea just picture it quite orangey but ooh its so cool!hehe I do wonder though about my dark roots they did remain pretty dark, I was thinking in a while about lifting the root color with bleach just to the light brown almost reddish stage about thirty minutes of bleaching then henna-ing over that? Is that safe do you think? I have no idea how to combine the bleaching with the henna but wouldnt want to over bleach just a bit to lift some of the color up a little so the henna will color reddish better . Anyway I will see if I can copy and paste the photo on here for you. Remember its a lot redder than it looks :)) Oh I only left mine on for 2 hours, and I didnt let it sit like I know I was supposed to, but next time when Im not so impatient to get on with it. Ok here goes.... uh oh I cant seem to paste it on here. Let me see if I can try a new post if that doesnt work maybe you could tell me how you did that? Ok let me go and try at least :) Valerie
