Well, I have just fished up the hairball after leaving it all night,and am happy to tell you that at least I shall not be the Frog
Princess if I henna. To test, primarily to see if any disasters would
crop up,I used a positively ancient box of Colora 'red Sunset' [it
even has an expiry date of 2002, which I mixed with microwaved tap
water and then terped with Merlot, that being the only acidic liquid
in the house. The mix may have been too runny, because so far the
hairball doesn't seem any redder - if anything, the lightest bits may
be a trifle lighter [or that may be some of the cat fur I couldn't
quite get out of the stuff from the hairbrush - :)]. Any
recommendations before I go the 'full monty?' I imagine decent, fresh
henna will help; should I use lemon juice [I don't think I'll use
wine, since I'm not going darker], and more juice than water?
