I've never used indigo, but I've : heard stories of green resulting, usually on very light or bleached : hair I think, so I'd be cautious. If you just want a darker colour, : have you tried repeat hennaing? : : Melrose, are you after brown or red hair? You can slant the colour : slightly, but basically henna is red, red or red. If your hair is so : damaged that you cannot wash or brush it properly, I'd be worried : about hennaing it because that stresses the hair even more (heavy mud : on your head for hours, then it takes a long time to wash off). I : hope that hairdresser has given you a lot of compensation! Henna is : very good for the hair, but it sounds like your hair's too fragile to : cope with anything at all at the moment. Poor you, I'd be devastated : if anything happened to my hair so I do feel for you. How long is it? : If it's that bad, have you considered cutting it off and starting over? Well I am happy with the current color except that it doesnt come close to matching my roots, therefore I would like to darken the bleached parts, but I think indigo is out of the question. You confirmed what I thought, but wasnt sure, that indigo plus bleach equals green. So I will just stick with the henna but also I am using sage and rosemary on my hair thats supposed to darken after a while, they are also very good hair conditioners. (This I put in for Melrose who is having such damage problems. These herbs are very good for your poor abused scalp and hair.) Does the henna fade out of the bleached parts or is it this color permanently now do you know? Thank you , Valerie
