nothing!

hi all, i read thru the site and was very excited about doing henna
again in my hair for the first time since i was a teenager. (at
least 12 years ago) Well...it didnt work! I got nothing at all, well
except some shine which is nice, but still. I got the henna powder
in bulk at a pagan shop near my house. i am thinking that might be
the problem, light exposure, old product, etc... or maybe i need to
let the dye release for more then 2 hours? or leave it on my hair
for more then 2 hours? any help would be great! thx in advance. :)
