All of the above could be the problem, or a combination. Get it from
a reputable supplier, because, while I love my local pagan shop's
owner and gladly get my essential oils from her, her henna is crap.
It's in a clear plastic jar, not airtight, in fluorescent light. If
you don't see any (even a minute) colour change from when you freshly
mixed it, it'd be a good idea to let it sit atleast another hour or
so. I usually let mine sit at room temp for 8 hours, give or take.
The longer it's on your hair, the more time your hair has to absorb
the colour...so...try all three!
