great to year you like your grey coverage!! i know the feeling.. had
it when i first applied indigo afterwards, too. the wonderful feeling

just two suggestions:
i think you don't need to mix the indigo with lemon juice - on the
contrary, the results might be even better when you mix it just with
water. maybe you could try this out with a hairball.
also, i found that mixing henna with indigo (not more than 20-30% fpr
grey coverage) will give a darker henna to start with the indigo.
maybe this could help you reduce 1-2 steps..? just a guess..

i'm re-doing my 2-step grey-covering session again tomorrow (after the
usual 4 wks).. and hoping to get better pictures at last (my hair
looks either too bright or too dark in the funny fall light in my kitchen)
