Yes, you can use henna over chemically treated hair provided that you
leave a decent interval and make sure you use pure, body art quality
henna with no mysterious bits added (in particular watch out for
metallic salts). Always do a hairbrush test followed by a strand test
before you henna.

However, henna colours hair red, red or red. If your hair's fairly
dark already you might be able to get good conditioning benefits
without having to leave it on for too long and hopefully minimise the
colour change. What Catherine recommends for conditioning only is
senna, also known as cassia. Have a prowl around this site for more info.
